Plot:

When their father’s sudden death leaves the Dashwood sisters without fortune or home, practical Elinor Dashwood and passionate Marianne Dashwood must leave their family estate and adjust to a life of reduced means. As they navigate romance, financial uncertainty and the rigid social expectations of 18th-century England, the sisters’ contrasting approaches to love and loss — one guided by restraint, the other by feeling — are tested to breaking point.
